The Shining

Writer Jack Torrance takes a winter job as caretaker of the isolated Overlook Hotel, hoping the solitude will give him time to work while his wife Wendy and young son Danny accompany him. But Danny possesses a mysterious psychic ability known as “the shining,” allowing him to sense the hotel’s horrifying past. As snow cuts the family off from the outside world and supernatural forces begin taking hold of Jack, the Overlook becomes a terrifying maze of madness, violence, and ghostly secrets.
