The Majestic

Peter Appleton is a Hollywood screenwriter whose career comes crashing down during the Red Scare. Then a car accident takes his memory too. When he wanders into a small California town, the locals become convinced he's Luke Trimble—a hometown soldier who never returned from World War II. Soon Peter is helping restore an abandoned movie palace called The Majestic while trying to piece together a life that may never have belonged to him in the first place.
