At midnight, the fog rolls in. In 2026, it brought a VHS with it.

John Carpenter's THE FOG is returning to videotape with a new officially licensed release from Vice Press Home Video and Studiocanal.

Two editions are haunting the shelves. The Collector's Edition pairs a black cassette with reversible artwork, while the more limited Slipcase Edition features new Creepy Duck Design artwork and a clear cassette made to look especially at home inside Antonio Bay's supernatural fog.

That Slipcase Edition is limited to just 300 copies.

There's one important catch for American collectors: these are PAL tapes, designed for compatible European VHS equipment rather than a standard U.S. NTSC VCR.

Vice Press currently expects orders to ship by the end of September 2026.

EDITION DETAILS

Officially licensed UK VHS release of John Carpenter’s The Fog from Vice Press Home Video in partnership with Studiocanal. Two editions are available. The Slipcase Edition features new Creepy Duck Design artwork and a clear VHS cassette and is limited to 300 copies. The Collector’s Edition features a black VHS cassette with a reversible cover featuring Matt Ferguson artwork and original theatrical artwork. Both editions contain the complete film and are PAL format only.
